It's unrealistic in how the world is built and how the romance develops but the transness in itself I felt was pretty well shown, esp taking into account this is japan.

i love this because there are barely as much trans rep in manga and when they do include trans characters its only for comic relief and transphobic jokes but this manga really does shine on how hard it is to accept yourself with certain people in your life making it hard for you and the way you identify. but i don't like the shounen ai tag as this has nothing to do with the intimacy or romantic relationship between two men.

While this manga has some issues when it comes to trans representation, its overall pretty good especially considering it's a comedy manga from 2004. Sara is sweet and has a pretty strong and cute character. I like that none of the jokes are cruel hearted- yeah theres a lot of jokes about her gender but none of them really feel like they're at her expense.

She wanted to be a girl.

It was so fun seeing how the transgender did not stop being who he is even after what the mom did and ex-colleagues. And having an understandable boyfriend that she liked at first-sight!! Lucky!!

I know gender bender is nothing new but this is more about shedding a light towards transgender which i love. Sure it might not be the most realistic story but its still unique and the fact that the author thought outside of the box was genius to me. I love that Sara allow herself to be who she wanted. Even though to please her mother for a bit and she dressed as a boy, she didn't change. I love that she has a (potential) lover who supports but it also shows him being uncertain like he said its a whole new world for him too. But i also love her friends as well. I only wish to have more to see what happens in the future but i love it bc it was unique.

For some reason the main character annoyed the frick out of me ^^; And I feel that, even though it tries to tell the story of a trans girl/feminine boy, it still relies on a lot of old clichés to make its point. I think that they eventually got there close to the end of the story though, hence why I rate it a 3.
