Okay hmm..I like this manga, but also I have nitpick and complain to express. I like the main couple. BUT the story seems to be getting more and more boring and bland to me the longer the volumes. Currently I stopped reading at the end of volume 13, can't continue any longer. Maybe, JUST MAYBE, I'll continue in the future. I know its a slice of life, I don't hate slice of life genre. BUT the slice of life in this is not that interesting. Don't come for me with this opinion, but I don't like Hasekura x Kensuke (2nd couple) story. Like, they're the most uninteresting couple I've seen. Hasekura especially, being all obsessive in secret, creepy and all that, being rude af to other people that close to Ken, literally just anyone. Not the type of character that I like. Even the Yanbe(?) or Yange idk his name, even him and Natsuo story is much more interesting than Hasekura couple. Even though Natsuo and Yange is only appear on extra, inlike 1 or 2 pages each volume. Ayako and his husband also interesting couple though we don't see their story. Anything and anyone but the Hasekura couple. idk wha it is, but they're just not interesting to me, Hasekura couple. Its like, they're the main reason this manga has so much unnecessary volumes, because their story 'Hittorijime Boyfriend' is included in this also. They also the reason why I don't like this manga as much. I skipped or skim through whenever their story appear.
Also, this is shounen ai. Period. The author tease and show that they made love, but did not show. They insinuate, indicate, being half naked and all, but did not show. Its not yaoi.
Also the age gap. oh boy. why do BL author always do this? I don't understand Japan. Why normalize this illegalness or taboo topic like this. Same goes with South Korea BL author or just fucking BL author in general, normalizing sexual assault, rap*, and ped0philia. This is in general, not about this manga.
I don't know what to feel anymore other than forcing myself to read this while ignoring the blatant illegality. I'm not happy about it of course. But keep reading it anyway to know where the story is going. Everything about this manga is very illegal in term of age gap. Every characters in this KNOWS but they just turn a blind eye including his detective friend. idk if I want to laugh or cry by the fact that this has 14 volumes and ongoing.
Hella confusing, idk if the it's because of the terrible translation or the sudden jump in time between chp 1.1 to 1.2...feels like something there was missing. also the guy with the kitten that the mc met looked like a literal child but apparently theyre the same age? and the seme is a teacher while the uke is a student? anyways I don't understand this manga
