it’s good but at the same time it’s not… don’t get me wrong the romance is sweet and who doesn’t love the “he hates everyone but her” trope, but everything besides the sappy love story is, well, mediocre. this could be so good yet every time the main characters are met with a new case, the suspenseful, mystery side of the story falls short. and don’t even get me started on how much this story tests my morals. fuyuki is 17 (for almost all but a few chapter of the story) and kuze is 26-27. fuyuki is a minor and they have a 9-10 year age gap… fuyuki being a minor has no significance to the story so whyyyy is she underage? couldn’t she have been 20+??? the whole part where kuze says he’s waiting for her (to turn 18) is just so off putting and sounds like grooming too tbh… fuyuki and kuze’s relationship isn’t even the only minor x adult in this story either. reiko gets married to her father’s ex-secretary (99% chance he’s an adult) who fell in love with her when. she. was. in. high. school. my god
