amazing story I’d rate it 9/10 but be prepared for a heavy, emotional story.

I had a few issues. it was repetitive at parts and the fl can be frustrating but her mental struggle (in her past life) was depicted so well. and I see why doha is such a beloved character. The mcs past life romance is one of my favourites I’ve read for sure. it’s tragic and doomed but I loved watching them develop - their relationship is extremely well-paced that you genuinely understand why they fell hard for each other. The two brothers were so loveable too. I can’t get over the scene where after fatally stabbing Doha the fl is about kill herself - but still he stops her and tells her not to die. His love for her was selfish, messy but incredibly captivating.
ch200 FINISHED [what defines a happy ending? is it love prevailing despite it all? is it the idea of the characters we've watched throughout the whole journey getting together? is it the healing that entails in the aftermath?
"can i call this love?" the moon that rises in the day shows that a love founded in guilt and resentment could never truly last; the hurting becomes too much to bear eventually. but the romance of the past redeems itself with the fact that in spite of this, hate isn't always the only path left(?), however bitter and lonely the road is there.
in the end, yeonghwa found happiness by breaking the long, long cycle of hallita's karma; and doha likewise finds peace, finally heading over to cheondo after 1500 years. was this a sad ending then—with no reincarnation story or something of the sort in sight? well, i'd beg to differ. i like to think that both of them getting closure, getting away from the clutches of past pains and karma is a happy enough ending. a successful romance isn't everything that makes a happy ending, it's the resolution and the peace after the aftermath. will yeonghwa ever be able to completely forget doha? i honestly don't think so, but knowing she isn't the person hallita was, i know she'll be able to live on, even with the memories of a distant, bygone self and the man who loved her more than anything, more than family—the man who finally
"life doesn't always go the way you want." but learning to live with what you still have before this one life ends, finding peace even after every tragedy—i daresay that's what makes a happy ending.
