I also don't really care now if Shioka and Nana ends up together. tbh I'd rather not. he already rejected her and is only a mere support character that doesn't even do that much. I hate how Himari wanted her to be selfish but bitch as you know, you aren't called friends for nothing. Io was the character needed from the start, that way there would be less dramas. Nana's life would've been better if she was a kind but yet strong person, like she was at the end. Tbh yuyu's fcking annoying especially on she puts the blame on Nana fpr her not going to school. And if the background characters that was portrayer normal(not) had the right mindset, they would've been siding witj nana or didn't gave a fck.

i read for that romance tag... yet every single chapter i found little to no romance and wished for yuyu to get run over by a bus and have the rats eat her dead body-

this was a fucking shitshow but i enjoyed every second of it.

This manga isn't your typical romance happy happy manga. I can't tell you how many times I broke down because I related to it, pathetic who cares. It's about girls and their stupid, petty arguments and the heart crushing feelings you get while you have them. I totally recommend reading this because it is amazing, the art style is just as incredible and the feels you get from this is the mixture of sadness, happy and humor, perhaps hatred (for a few of them I may say myself)

My first impression, the art is cute, as shoujo typical. But no, this manga is not a cute shoujo manga at all. If you are easily irritated or just only want to read "too good to be true" story typical of shoujo, then this manga is not for you. The "real friendship" that mentioned in the summary doesn't meand the "ideal friendship" that's all good and fun, but more about "realistic" story of girls friendship and all of its problems. It's also like questioning, what is "real friend" and who is your "real friend". With everything that happened, can they still be "friends"?

Of course, as shoujo it has the romance side, but it quite little and actually used for developing the friendship story. In its ads, it claims the no. 1 friendship manga and I agree very much. In Japan too, it is the most popular title in Ribon Magazine since its debut for 3 years straight (2014-2016).

It also quite unique of this manga is simple by the appearance, but actually has hidden meanings behind it. Thanks for its beautiful art, reading the expression of Shioka and Yuyu is one more way to enjoy Nanairo Kakumei as a deep manga.

Two girls have been friends for years, but one is very controlling and the other just does as told. Now, the follower wants to make her own choices and become "herself." This brings bullying and drama, because her controlling, clingy, manipulative friend isn't going along with the "Nana Wants Freedom To Be Nana" revolution. Fortunately, there's a very self-aware and independent "weirdo" classmate who encourages her liberating journey and stands up for her when she most needs it. But will Yuyu-da-bitch accep that? Hell, no. Here come the yandere.
