High school student Mitani Kento goes to Watari's bakery every day for his delicious pastries. Kento is totally blind to his best friend Sakurai Hiro's feelings for him, though when Hiro gets a job at the bakery, suddenly Kento finds his loneliness unable to be appeased by sweets...
Contrary to the comment section, I didn’t find it realistic at all lmao, it was the classic fictional melancholic love story. People don’t usually wait for their loved one for six years. That is unrealistic. People don’t do that. They didn’t even keep in contact seems like, so what is realistic about that? This blind faith? No one would be able to blindly accept such distant insecurity for six fucking years. You evolve out of that whether you like it or not. The nature of your love changes. Your frustrations change. You’re not in a static state of pure forgiving unconditional love. That is not to say unrequited love cannot last this long or something, but at least when it’s one-sided things are clear. Nothing was clear here. Uke was selfish and indecisive. Seme was overly understanding. Irl people get tired of bullshit like that. Also the sexual assault was random af to me, and idk I just found the whole baker story hella frustrating. It’s not ~DeEp~ nor ~ReLiStIc~
Fuck I always find myself in disagreement with the comment sections on this website. They find ~rEaLiSm~ in every fucking story where (1) there is either no jealousy shown or (2) there is a great breadth of space between the lovers for long periods of time. Has anyone on this website ever been in a real life long term relationship? For fuck’s sake. Yes you make compromises but you also have to be a little selfish and think about your own interests, otherwise it becomes toxic even if you’re both decent people (and few people are but whatever).
I just don’t fucking get these comment sections bro. UGH.
Thanks god that I found this.. watari and kyougo.. well, its deep and realistic enough. Lucky kyougo to have watari that wait for him.. 15 years is no joke.
Very tenderly and sometimes suffocating sweet and fluff. There’s darkness and angst here and there but the love wins in the end. Pretty great two stories. And I’m glad watari got his happy ending too
