masterpiece that paved the way for shoujo animanga and many stories worldwide that unfortunately people tend to overlook nowadays. i have seen many manga but this is the only one that gets more imporessing and meaningful everytime i read it. 90s anime is very weak compared to it. such a shame that it is only known as nothing more than sweet childhood nostalgia when it has such a deep and meaningful story. i wish it got the appreciation it deserves.

What with comments about Seya? He's 5× times better character than mamoru. Mamoru has a charm of a dead fish. I never could stomach him.
