i've made like several rants about this series on my sns which all boil down to how little substance sunhwa & goongha have that it actually pisses me off lmao like i couldn't even finish it (though i did get close enough to the end), because seeing them together was just....annoying.

all that we ever really saw these characters do was have sex and be insecure until they inevitably "broke up". which would be fine for a longer series, but this isn't that and everything was so rushed they left out the actual relationship development.

speaking of which, it just made me sad for goongha & yoji(?) because these two actually had SOME development and seeing them together again towards the end just made me feel like they should've been the main couple instead.

like i really just wish more effort was put into sunhwa & goongha's romantic relationship, because in the end, it just feel like sunhwa is repeating the same shit he had going on with his sunbae (aka a mostly sexual relationship), just with someone who isn't an asshole (anymore).

all in all, i regret caving in and coming back to this. maybe it could've been better if it was a longer series, but seeing as how the creator proritized sex over romance despite the short nature of the series, i lowkey doubt it. and don't get me wrong, i love smut and very often do i read series specifically for the smut, but smut doesn't fix everything. especially not when other elements if the story annoy tf out of you as a reader.

Korean comic about a hikamori who writes gay comics. He met the new baker on the first story when he opened his front door and hit the hot baker in the face. The story starts to get interesting when you learn of his past before he dropped out of collage and disappeared.

Alright, honest opinion. A lot of people seem to like this (I mean 8.9 rating that's no joke) but this is shit in terms of the story.
Starting with the pros- The artist knows how to draw backgrounds and that's something not many people can do, specially not in coloured manhua/manhwa. But that's it. That's literally the only thing I find good in this.
The first thing that ruined this manhwa for me was that the mc is a comic artist. It's a common thing among upcoming artist who can't come up with a story to make the central character an artist, just like them, because it saves up a lot of time on developing the character.
I tried to overlook it, since I started reading this after a certain review said that it's dark, so I was interested and ignored my hatred for storylines centred around an artist.
The second thing that isn't right is the character drawings. I'm not going to say it's bad, it's actually pretty good, even better than a few manhwas that I like, but for some reason I don't feel anything for the characters. It's like reading a plain old boring book.
Third thing, now that I can't feel anything for the characters, I thought maybe the story would develop in a way to let me feel for them. But adding angst for the sake of it only makes it worse. I'm a slut for angst but the angst and the backstory in this only looks forced. I don't mind mainstream story or the same old angst, but the backstory seems to be slapped in the face of the readers without the association of any emotions. It's like the artist sat down and thought "Hey we need to give him a really shitty past or this won't sell"
I don't understand why the tags romance and interesting and "cute" are added but it's nowhere near that. Are you talking about the romance between the baker and the mc? So the baker saw the mc fapping and fell for him? Yeah. Very Romantic.
I don't even understand why it has so many 5-4 star rating. What part did you like? The sex? Yeah the sex scenes were well drawn but they weren't good. Just because it's gay doesn't mean it has to be good, and the presentation and plot line of the story sucks a big deal. Maybe the story is inspired from something that happened in reality, if so then the presentation of it is what sucks a big deal.
Yes, they've tried to show abusive relationships aren't good, but all I felt while clicking on the next page was when will this end? I've read mangas about abusive relationship before and they were very well presented (In the sense you hated the abuser and felt sorry for the person being abused, not romantic of any sort) but this one looks like the artist constantly thought "Bitches love abuse and sex. Let's just mix them up and add a little angst" (and apparently they do, because look at the rating) I wanted to read it till the end in slight hope that it'll get better but it is the worst manhwa that I've read so far, a story with no plot and forced angst.

Sigh, hope things get better. I want Sunhwa to become comfortable with others and get over the past. (Updated: Ch. 18)
