So, I blame myself for loving such a sucky, melodramatic manga, but still, I love how they have deep feelings that you can feel yourself. Zetsuai (not the sequel) is a complete manga by itself. It leaves you hanging, but this is what can easen up your heart after a tale of a complicated, desperate love.
2nd Night ~ Your favorite BL author
Naono Bohra has such liveliness to her manga. Even when they try to be tragic, they never go way too deep, because there's always hope for a happy ending. Her mangas are light, soft pieces you want to read to feel like you dove into a fantasy where nobody is actually physically perfect. They're just funny humans/creatures/oji-sans with complexes they handle by falling in love. <3
3rd night ~ Your favorite manga from your favorite BL author
So, how to describe Three Wolves Mountain? It has all elements I love about Naono. The yaoi, the oji-san, imperfect characters, cuteness overload, tongue-in-cheek humor, beautiful art, violence, women don't vanish to yaoi limbo, reversible couple... haah. Just saying, it's such a fun manga :3
4th night ~ A BL manga you hated so much you stopped reading
I mean... it's not all that bad. Some people might think it's cute. But the art reminds me of all those generic and clichéd harem manga. And it feels like one! Fanservice everywhere! If you're not gonna gimme plots, gimme handsome men and beautiful dic*s! (ÒДÓױ) (Please don't take this too seriously lol)
5th night ~ A BL manga you'd recommend to anyone
Anyone can read 19 days! Even if they don't like yaoi. There's no sex to speak of, it's well-measured to be light and fun, and still have development moments which make you cringe. It's a tale of adorable best friends with their quirks. It'll have you shipping in a blink!
6th Night ~ A BL manga you wish you could read more of
Why isn't it fully scanlated!? And why the raws can't give me enough of this couple!?!? (╥﹏╥) Really. Kuku Hayate is a charming author. She reached our hands and said "There shall be Cowboy x Native American!" and then, like a mean god, she broke our hearts by giving us a single volume. Still better than not having it, tho!
7th night ~ A BL manga you like just because of the sex scenes
Okay, it's not only about sex scenes. If it was about sex scenes, I'd put Psyche Delico and Zaria. But... this goddamn Monchi Kaori! She makes the scenes linger for entire damn chapters. She slowly builds them up, like a long, intense foreplay. It doesn't matter if they're explicit or not. They're so sexy, so freaking sexy. DAYUM!
8th night ~ A BL manga that makes you happy every time you read it
This was such a hard choice! I had Suzuki Tsuta and Natsume Isaku on the competition! But even so, the roughness and immaturity of Harasen and Sorano always bring a smile to my face. They're so adorably relatable there was no other way to end it other than with ther biggest grins! (°◡°♡).:｡
9th night ~ A BL manga you used to love, but now you don't
I feel sad saying this, because this was my first BL EVER. I used to think it was the deepest, most heartfelt thing I'd ever read. It is a good story, sure, and kind of beautifully twisted... still, far along I've read so many better things I learnt about all it's flaws. And especially Kaori Yuki's flaws in storytelling in general. I would still recomment it though, just not to a Harada fan. lol
10th day ~ A BL mangaka you just CAN'T like
Hard one, because I had many to choose from! lol I picked Minase Masara because I've read so many of her manga and still can't like them. I make fun of how her characters have only two expressions (angry and normal angry) and how I keep messing which manga is which due to everybody having the same face. Still readable, tho... but I'll keep nitpicking on her forever ●～*
