I so agree that it would have been better without him added into it. I see why he was, but I just hated reading the parts with him. He annoyed me.
I seriously hated the fatty. Was he just there to be hated? He wouldn't even be that bad, if he just stopped acting like an asshole.
I feel like he was there for the purpose of shaming her in front of everyone, and at least if the author made him creepy and annoying then the readers won't feel bad for him and hate the main character for not liking him.
I like the story but I find the communication between ''the fatty'' and Ida very strange. I thought she at least would respect him and not be disgusted by him in the beginning because he was nice. But then he talks shit, like she's trash. The storyline would be better without him in my opinion.
