I Still Dislike her a lot to, would not wish her dead tho (personal def of hate).Yeah it could be a cop out or may not be. It all depends on the readers belief of what the range action that could be taken by people under the same circumstances and the meaning of each possible actions taken. To me I am glad Kyoko is better but for me this hits very close to home cause I was born under similar circumstances. So her getting her head around her moms feelings that quickly is a bit far fetched to me...But Then I thought of her acting skills and figured it would be a bit before we see the truth of Kyoko's feelings. Sorry I got a personal here, But this is my honest reaction to your post.

It didn't cross my mind that she could have been acting, but that makes more sense. Maybe she wanted her mom to feel better (don't know), and it reminded me of a scene from Bara No Tameni ( http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/bara_no_tameni/nme/en-manga/bara-no-tameni/22/1/23/ ) the sister is told to forgive her mom by a friend, but the mom doesn't think she did anything wrong.
Anyway the truth is that you can't really tell what will happen till you experience it for yourself (people can/ will act different than what they thought) so I like the fact that you were kind enough to share, so I find you opinion really valuable so thanks. m(_ _)m
I still hate the mom. To me it feels like a cop out. Kyoko got better though
