Morinaga just yolo-ed and raped Souichi. "Stop or I'll never forgive you." "You won't forgive me anyway" *rapes* #yoloswag morinaga.
And his thoughts during that were "how bad the situation was, but he couldn't stop himself and wished he could fuck him all night long". What a creep. Yet, the morning after it's like nothing seriously bad happened. We get a comical aftermath with Souichi getting super pissed off and Morinaga getting all sheepish that sobers up to a quarrel. And next time they talk they have a normal phone conversation. They go on like they had a bad argument about Morinaga cheating on him or both of them getting drunk and ending up having sex, rather than rape. Mangaka please, it doesn't work that way. It's traumatic not dramatic.

And afterwards Morinaga going all "oh man, wish I had more self-control" and doing the caring bf omg, I swear, this guy is delusional. And then crying and going to drop out of uni after he tells Souichi he loves him and Souichi just hangs up. Not because he finally realized what the fuck he had done, but because he realized the consequences for him: senpai will never love him back now. Well, duh. Who was it that didn't give a single fuck when he raped him?

Can't really sympathize with a guy that's regretting it and cares now when he didn't give a single fuck about the other person and their feelings then and just raped them. Never want a bf like Morinaga. Guy is like the creepy co-worker who has a huge crush on you and thinks he really cares about you but doesn't respect and get over the fact you don't like him - he wants you and him together happy and lovey-dovey forever like in his happy dream.

I've said this below but i'll repeat it now:
There is so much I can say about this manga; but I wanna praise mostly how perfectly Soichii and Moriniga suit each other. They are complete opposites, but I think they balance each other perfectly and keep each other in check. A lot of people complain about the two; saying Soichii is too stubborn, or Morinaga is too forceful. But I see it as Soichii teaches Morinaga to be patient, to listen, and be considerate. Morinaga teaches Soichii to be more open, more caring, and calms him down. I honestly can't think of better yaoi pairing. Read the first chapter, and read the last chapter, the changes in the two, and their dynamics is unbelievable, and I think they both have changed so much thanks to one another.

I honestly wish she had went with what someone else here had suggested. Had them both drunk. Souichi could still get mad at him because he would likely deny going along with it even if he did and the events could still play out the same.

The rape messes with Morinagas character if you read Challengers. I don't care what fetishes people have and I'm not trying to shame anyone at all. It's fantasy like what you like I don't care. If you read Challengers or look up some of the plot points regarding Morinaga and Souichi you will understand what I'm talking about. If you don't understand please go read it.

To sum it up Morinaga saved Souichi from rape. Souichi assumed all gays are rapists and perverts. Morinaga in saving him showed him otherwise and challenged his viewpoint. But now in this story he does the exact thing he was trying to prove to Souichi wasnt true. No matter how much one likes this story and believe me I do you and you to admit she dropped the ball on that one. Now we have people jumping throw hoops trying to explain it when a bottle of alchohol would have sufficed somewhat.

I'm totally agree with #Yaoimutt ...and Anonymous I understand you,but if it pissed you off so much why do you read it?I don't like rape but I don't see it like that and believe me,there are a lot of mangas in which the couple starts the relationship with rape and the story is kind of poor and the characters are more like S&M

Maybe it's been too long since I read it and don't remember properly, but weren't both of them drinking?? Obviously the tyrant had more, but I can't imagine Morinaga sat there all night and watched him drink all his beer. I think Morinaga has a higher alcohol tolerance, but he still had to have had plenty in his system after several hours. The way I read it, I believed they were both definitely under the influence of alcohol. Which is why Morinaga regrets his actions so much he tries to disappear. It wasn't something he would have done if he were totally sober. That's what I took from it anyway.

No, you're wrong. They both drank beer at the invite of Morinaga after Souichi was rage panicking about his brother getting married to the guy he's living with. Souichi seems relatively drunk, Morinaga more tipsy. Souichi asks him to go get more beer at convenience store. When Morinaga returns he no longer seems tipsy and discovers Souichi found the aphrodisiac and drank it. After that, Souichi seems to head to drink the beer Morinaga brought, probably Morinaga joined him but the next panel shows Souichi stood there for the night and they're both sleeping.

That's when, in the middle of the night, Souichi wakes up feeling weird hot and with a hard-on. Morinaga wakes up when Souichi's legs give up and he falls, finding out he also has little strength. Morinaga seems normal and I think by now Souichi is only under the effects of the aphrosidiac, and even if he was a bit drunk, he wasn't drunk enough not to be lucid. They were both pretty lucid then. Then, when Morinaga discovers Souichi's hard on he gets excited and pretty much forces himself on him, meanwhile trying to convince Souichi like "hey, you're hard, let's have sex, come on, i'm just helping you, it's no big deal, you should enjoy it too, you'll feel good" when Souichi visibly doesn't want to and is atm vulnerable. Then this all ends up with Morinaga raping him, even after Souichi straight out telling him to stop it or he'll never forgive him.

Souichi is weak, vulnerable, it's not his fault he's horny, he's confused and he fucking wants Morinaga to stop coming on to him jfc wth, but ofc Morinaga had to act like a complete rapist asshole and take advantage of him, trying to use the situation and convince Souichi to go with it, because he and his unrequited love have wanted to fuck him for long and he's horny and looking so sexy, so fuck it, he'll fuck him now he can take advantage of him.

This is very different from drunk sex, that could be done right and would have made sense.
