I think it's said in the novel that he is the son of Fei Longs adopted brother, in which case he us Chinese.
I believe he is Japanese - he was Asami's employee and Asami offered to bring Yoh home (to Japan I assume) and Yoh helped Fei in prison which helped him earn Fei's trust - despite being Japanese.
Yoh is Taiwanese. He returns to Taiwan after the events in volume 5.
I think that you are talking about Tao (the kid). :)
葉(Yoh) is a common family name of Chinese. He might be Taiwanese or Korean, but definitely isn't Japanese.
Remember a man in "Flower on the high loft". He was a high ranked cop or something of HongKong and he told Asami that he would do anything for him, so Asami might have his men or accomplices all over Asia. Yoh was one of them I think, but highly trusted and trained one.
Yes, it's a chinese name. The only thing tha isn't clear is where he met Asami the first time (Hong Kong, Japan? - Yoh speaks japanese very well)
Tao is Yan Tsui's son?
Yes, he is. The way the poor boy discovers who his father is almost make me cry. :(
Yes. Poor kid. :(
I have a question - does anyone know if Yoh is Chinese or Japanese? I don't think it's ever mentioned...I was wondering because although he is (or was) one of Asami's men, wouldn't him being Japanese have made Feilong suspicious towards him already when they met? I mean, wouldn't he have suspected a connection after what happened? Then again, I think "Yoh" is a Japanese name, but I'm not sure about it.
