And I'd actually rather wait for a few months for a real chapter on one of her works, with a more connected storyline. I don't think the bits and pieces are doing the story any good and I really loved her work until now, so I'm rather sad about it...
I saw raws dor chapter 51 and only... 7 pages ! I hope this is incomplete because it is really frustrating. I prefer waiting several months and have a real story. I understand that sensei want to give something to the readers but I have the feeling she has lost her inspiration for this story. Maybe she should take a break on it.
I feel the author lost her motivation for this manga too. I really liked this story back then but with the newer updates it feels like for me that this is slowly turning into Viewfinder - which I'm not so happy about, Akihito turned into too much of a shoujo manga girl to be able to enjoy that anymore :( Maybe she can focus better after finishing Finder....
The thing is that if she takes a break to finish Finder or whatnot it'll be years until she can take it back for it to be worth since she makes only 6 chapters a year. Anyway, I think it's finishing soon enough, I feel she does plan on ending it after this arc.
It may be difficult but if in exchange we can have a great story, I will wait. It seems she had great difficulties since she lost a parent. I can understand very well that's why I think she should take a break to get better and when she'll come back, she'll be on the top.
I agree with you with Viewfinder. Akihiko seems very weak in the lasts chapters. Well it's good to see he can be jealous but I prefer the blockheaded photograph who's opposing Asami straight in the eyes and refuse to surrender.
You may wait, but the publisher she has a contract with for Crimson Spell and the whole fandom probably won't. Because yes, she has a different publisher that publishes a different magazine from Finder's for Crimson Spell. She has to satisfy both.

sorry I press the buton "post it" too soon. I haven't finish my post... I think in the very last chapters he reacts a little but I don't want to blame him, he seems in a bad moment. Kuroda was very mean to him treat him like a prostitute, he feels jealous toward Sudo. Maybe because of the short chapters it's hard to see all the story. Maybe I should stop reading updates and wait a year and all the "Pray in the abyss arc" should be cristal clear...
The reason why it is so little is because it is the release from the magazine. If it were a tankubon release, the mangaka adds more pages to fill it out. If you actually understood the amount of work all that detail that you love looking at took, then you wouldn't be complaining. I have Volumes 1-5 at home and there are extra pages added for those chapters already uploaded that were not a tankubon chapter. So please stop griping about it is so short.
I have the first volume, too, (and also several volumes of her other works) and I didn't notice any of what you are describing. However, the chapters are and were definitely a lot longer... and it's not just this manga of hers, all her series are updated in such small chapters. I know that it's a lot of work, especially at her level of art, however, I believe, that most her fans would be happy to wait a bit longer and then get a real, storylineheavy chapter. (I could of course be wrong, but that's how I feel...) I'm sorry if you're bothered, but it's really disappointing to look forward to the next chapter, wait for weeks on hot coals and then to receive a chapter with under 10 pages, in which almost nothing happens and then being left behing with feeling completely unsatisfied and sad, really, cause you were so much looking forward to it. The first volume is from the book not the mag. These are mag pages you're reading. You can tell by the quality of the scans. If you only have volume one, then you see the same as the upload since vol 1 came from the book.
All I am saying is that when the book is published, more pages are added to it. Since vol 6 is yet to be released, we only have the pages from the magazine itself.
If that's the case, why is it that other mangas, that also aren't published yet, have longer chapters? And why were the chapter updates longer in the past, when a volume wasn't published yet, either? (This is me being really confused, sorry...)
We have no way of knowing what sensei's arrangement with her publisher might be. It is entirely possible that the length of chapters is out of her control. It could be that she has a contract with Chara Selection for a certain number of issues, but as the story is winding down, the amount of pages has to be divided to meet the requirements of the contract. Not saying that's the case but it is one possibility. Sensei has also had health issues in recent years and I wish people would not be so quick to be angry with her over her output. She is creating something you love. Please be nice to her. Be patient with her.
