Yes, he is being a dick, but remember we don't know anything about livi, only that he is a king, did terrible things to people and take over the world we don't know his hardship, his fears, his scars or anything there are all a mystery for the readers and for nike ^^
O.k so I'm torn. I've been mildly spoiled so I kinda know what happens. But still. Damn He is not gonna take this well. I really hope her getting hurt snaps him out of this little bitch mode he's been in.
