They are not. We don't know this yet in the translations but according to other people they do learn that they are not in fact blood related siblings.

Knowing this takes a lot of the tension out of the manga for me, and I was really enjoying all the angst and forbidden-ness.
Oh well. I still like it a lot anyway.
I actually fine with either way as long as they are together as siblings or as a couple.
But if they end up as siblings it really going to be complicated and the ending going to be so twisted.
Since all the Taboo manga I have read so far the ending really make me yell at my laptop since either of the siblings are death or suicide.
