I'm surprised for the backlash on Masa. It's nowhere certain that AT THIS POINT his story with Shige has started, sensei did not specify that in the spin-off so we shouldn't jump to the conclusion. It feels to me that in the spin-off Masa was not longer involved with Tatsuya (recap the longing look from AFAR and Shige catching that). Anyway, I'm just saying that we were not given any official timeline between the two series.
