I'm a little confused; in ch5 Taichi tells Zama that before, he thought he wanted to become that person's "wife." That "person" being his "dad," right? Then he tells him that he thought for three years what he wanted for himself, and decided to go to Zama. Then he says he's surpriced his feelings hand't changed and Zama smacks him on the head and says he's "impertinet." I'm not sure what the heck does that mean? Is Taichi surprised he still wanted to be his "dad's" wife, or that for three years his feeling for Zama didn't change?

Because it seems like he was confused from the begining. When he did it with Zama for the first time he called out "dad," and didn't really seemed to be in love with Zama, at any stage. It seems like he just decided to go for Zama, since his relationship with his "dad" will always remain father and son and nothing else. So, he is surpriced that he is still in love with his "dad," or not? That's what confuses me.
