No, He's terrified, disgusted and appalled by Asami. Isn't it obvious by the way he acts?
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Here we have a man who, for some unknown reason, has catheters on hand. What kind of man does this?! Does he have a ready supply of them, or did he plan ahead and order them ahead of time just to use on Akihito?
So late one night at his computer, he's goes onto Amazon.co.jp and clicks on "Male Catheters -- Box of 30... BUY NOW".
Or did he just buzz Kirishima on the intercom and say: "I'll be torturing that cute little photographer tonight. I require a catheter... also a pack of AA batteries. And while you're at it, pick up spare tube of Astroglide..."
Kirishima: "Yessir. Anything else?"
Asami: "No, that will be all. I'll improvise the rest, if necessary."
Does Akihito love Asami? He must, if he went through nearly 60 chapters of Asami-driven torment and STILL wants to be with him. The question you SHOULD be asking is this:
WHY does Akihito love Asami?
I'd love to see people's theories on THAT.
Asami is known to be infinitely caring of his subordinates. Suppose one of them develops a UTI? You have to be prepared.
Nooo, Akihito actually despises Asami. He's just bidding his time, he's waiting for Tao to turn 18 so they can elope. Asami is just a good fuck, Akihito has no feelings whatsoever for him, yup, yup. *nods decisively*
"Nobody is able to answer the question about the reasons why they love someone?" Lol... your response seems to put a period to my question, doesn't it?
Interesting though. When a similar question was asked, "Why does Asami love Akihito?" you guys give paragraphs worth of an answer.
It's a little harder with Akihito, isn't it?
I will try one
Aki is a thrill seeker Asami is perfect for that. Also after living with him he has been exposed to the better side of him, plus he is someone with determination not afraid to go after what he wants Aki respects that. Asami fills his ideal man criteria except he happened to be involved in shading dealings. Plus the sex is good xD....
This is hard....sensei should do a character interview sometime
You want paragraphs, you say? Be careful what you wish for.
IMO,* Asami is Akihito's type in general, the yang to his yin, and the other half of his soul. It took a while for Aki to realize all this. In fact, this realization is something Aki fights against because it doesn't fit the self-image of who Aki wanted to be. Aki wanted to be a successful world-famous photographer who needs no one. He wanted to be looked on as a player and a hero to women. He wants to be cool and he wants to be dangerous. Acting as a sub and uke for a pervy old crime boss was not part of the plan. But nonetheless, there was an attraction that progressed to a recognition that will lead to acceptance.
Aki is a reluctant sub who craves a father figure to dominate him. When he was young, he got into trouble until his father stepped in and taught him about photography. While there is no doubt Aki loves his camera, part of the reason why he loves it is because his father gave it to him. While his father was elsewhere (presumably out on assignment), Aki formed a father-son like relationship with a corrupt police official. This may seem like a strange friendship for a former delinquent and a law enforcement officer who wanted to appear upright. I believe at the base of it is Aki's longing for someone older and stronger to control him even as he wants to rebel. Aki wants to test the boundaries but he wants someone who can rein him in at the same time. And then along came Asami.
Asami is dark and dangerous and there is no doubt that he is going to be in control. Asami may have attracted Aki because Aki wanted to get a scoop but Aki's fascination goes beyond mere career advancement. Let's face it, Asami is hot. Asami made Aki feel things Aki didn't know he craved. Asami is everything Aki doesn't want to want but that Aki desperately needs. That's why instead of being traumatized by the experience, Aki responded lustfully. That's why Aki masturbates early on when he thinks about what happened with Asami even though he is ashamed of what happened. That's why Aki follows Asami sent even as he continues to say it's just for some aspect of Aki's job.
At first, Aki thought that and it was both compelling and annoying. However, the more Aki got to know Asami, the more Aki recognized something in him. Whether Aki likes it or not, the fact is that their demons play well together. Aki's darker side and Aki's "weaker" side responds to Asami on a subconscious level. These are the part of Aki that Aki desperately wants to hide from others and only Asami sees it. Conversely, Aki may be seeing the side of Asami that no other person can see. Reluctant or not, the Aki sees in Asami parts of himself and that draws them closer.
Now that Aki has begun to accept the parts of himself that he doesn't like, he can start to admit that he loves Asami for who Asami is, even when Asami does things that Aki doesn't like. This is not really opposites attract, but rather they are like two sides of a coin. Aki is more of the "yin" and Asami the "yang" but there is a little yang and the yin and yin in the yang because they are two parts of a whole. To go full-on cheesy, they complete each other and Aki has finally admitted this.
*This is just my opinion, that is, it's an interpretation unless I tell you I am relying on a fact. Then, the fact is a fact but my use of the fact is interpretation. No one has to share my opinion much less my speculation. But if anyone discusses it with me, I will answer back because that's what Ido.
TLDR: Asami is hot.
Takaba is a closet sub. looking for a good M to give in to. One who would understand his needs for a loving dom. fig. who would let him have his legs to run wild while protecting him. Takaba, the ball breaker found his match in Asami" your freedom is in my hands". He loves the way Asami dominates him, he likes that feeling of being taken and cared for. that is why he fell for Asami. He offered power, safety, sex, domination. Just my OP.
Does Aki love Asami? Yes. He pretty much says so here:

As to why he loves Asami? Yeah, that's a little tougher to define. Here's my swing at it:
I think Akihito defines what he's looking for in a relationship when he chastises Fei Long in chapter 16. "Don't you want someone to be with you out of pure and natural trust?" ("Forging a bond" in the print version.)
And the I think he keeps coming back to this in his mind by thinking over and over again about how he wants to know more about Asami. In the print version of chapter 44, he exults over "Asami is exposing everything about himself to me." When Akihito talks about seeking Asami's warmth, I think he's talking about more than his physical heat. He's talking about that connection they're forging. This is Asami, the mystery that no one else can figure out. But he's letting Akihito in, and this is what Akihito is looking for. And then when Aki is hanging in the warehouse and has that revelation about what he really means to Asami is when he understands that they really have forged that bond he's been looking for. That's when I think he knows it's love.
So, super hot handsome man who can take you to heaven in the bedroom, has awakened desires in you that you never knew you possessed, who values you for who you are gives you the thing you are looking for in a partner by opening up to you in a way he hasn't opened up to anyone else in his life. That, I think, is why Aki loves Asami.
(⊙…⊙ ) Wow... good answer.
Maybe initially Akihito had a desire to be dominated, but I believe this has drastically flipped. Akihito has admitted to a desire to bring Asami to his knees. And for his part, Asami seems to like being dominated by Akihito (but apparently, not in bed).
You know that scene with Kuroda and Asami? I think Kuroda is picking up on that dynamic and he doesn't like it one bit because it's at odds with his image of Asami's strength.
Or maybe it was one of those things that was left behind by the previous owner of Asami's place. He found it in a drawer, shrugged, and just left it there.
And then he met Akihito (Ahh... that's what I can do with it!)
However, it really adds to Asami's perverted image to think he carries a catheter around "just in case..."
