no where near being a expert on the issue, but from what i understand:
the EU is the european union, if you are member of it you have rules and benefits that apply to all the members. it also means that they support each other... not entirely sure on the full scope of "EU membership." if the uk exits the EU then they will not have to follow the rules set by the EU and will not be able to benefit from it.
the debate or question that came up is - does the uk benefit from being part of the EU, from the people's vote - which is what was announced, the majority of people in the uk do not think it is work being a member of the EU.
what i think their exit will cause is a drop in the european dollar and kind of a general worry as to what will happen with future negotiations (both diplomatic and business) between the uk and eu member nations.
I COULD TOTALLY BE WRONG, but this is what I understood from briefly hearing about it on the news earlier today. hope i didn't confuse you or just make zero sense.

the "free movemnt people" was not the problem for britain because thx to this students and workers from europe could work in england aan it was a great benefit.
the other proble is that with the free moveent people there is the free movement of merchandise which was a great advantage for england and tothers countriies of EU since two third of exchange of the engand was with EU but this will be gone too and there will be taxes at the import and export.
the reason for england to leave EU was because of taxes (350 million each week)
in EU government have less freedom on their economics politic since they have to take into account EU, others countries and the BCE
There is another probleme for england because scotland and ireland want to remain, and the City want to remain in EU so there is a chance that they will also become independant.
Hey, this isn't manga related but I am worried about what is happening to Britain and the EU, I don't really understand what is happening and I want to know more. Can someone tell me what's is the EU and why this is happening? I feel so hopeless and really worried.
