I dont get it?

Okay, so, I dont really get what the hype was all about for this manga?? And why is there a tag that says "strong female lead" like all she did was cry, throw a tantrum and blush while going "kyaa~ kyaa~" over her husband??? She was so annoying and the husband was so damn irritating. He treated her like trash in the beginning and slapped her THREE TIMES through out the manga WTF?

And the ending was so illogical. The husband didnt know who the actual killer was of her mother for twenty years and just blamed it on his father but then he lost his status as a president and then pulled "sneaky" connections that he wasnt able to before because he worried about his status as the president. Thats so stupid. the only reason why he was the president of the company was because he wanted to find out who killed his mother, he didnt CARE about his status!

Brownie points for the art though.

thank you thank you so much for this. This hurt my feminist brain so much. Strong female lead? All she does is cry and think she's not worhty. Also the guy is an idiot how could she fall for rim? I still don't understand.

I was thinking the same. That 'strong female lead' tag is definitely not for this manga

I tend to think that I'd rather die than have someone see me cry but that's I think more a matter of someone's views on pride than weakness. I'd say she's arguably a strong lead. She has a pretty hard life if you think about it, other people would have gotten manic depressive or some shit.

Imo it's imperfect people in fiction that give me life, I like both of them because they both annoy me idk if that makes sense maybe it's just me. Sometimes I love characters when they are good at making me hate them while still I can sympathize with them as well.

But I do agree on that last plothole lol I've always been wondering about who da heck thought that's a good way to wrap it up hahah

He had to keep his status to keep the position. Classic mentality of "Crying is seen as weakness". Its not as weak as you think it is. Compared to all the other forms of coping: drugs, alcohol, breaking shit, lashing out at other people, crying is actually a great way to cope and temporarily relieve yourself of the intense emotions and continue on. Even though she cried, she never gave up. She's a strong female lead because of all the things she did. The fact that all you saw was "too much crying" is unfortunate. She literally married an asshole to pay off her dad's debt and take care of him; stuck with the marriage and the rules; protected other people when she was in danger; had no second thoughts to removing herself from Hokuto's life because she potentially harmed him and his goal; she worked hard as fuck to support Hokuto, to support someone she dearly loved; she gave up her own happiness for him, etc. Most people would be depressed and had given up. Throwing tantrums were sometimes followed by slightly decent communication. You're letting something such as a coping mechanism to cloud your view. Just cuz she cries, doesn't mean she's weak.

One time, when i was in middle school, my friend accidentally hit my head with a basketball and my immediate reaction was to cry. I literally had no control over it and it was just my body's reaction to something that hurt and stunned it.
