You know, after reading mangas like Naruto and Bleach, where the ending consisted of shippings and shit, I find myself being fond of this ending. Maybe its just me, but I prefer it when the ending is kind of left open and people can ship the character with whoever they want or imagine a different future for the characters.
Like in Bleach, the ending felt off, not entirely because of the shippings, but there is a little of that, too(Just so you know, I'm no IchiRuki or IchiHime shipper). It would have been nice if Kubo didn't make the last chapter, keeping it mostly a friendship based fic. Or if Kishimoto didn't make the last chapter, where people are married off, mostly keeping the entire thing a friendship manga. Then again, maybe its because I generally tend to prefer my shounen mangas without romance, or, if there is romance, it should be there, in the sidelines, from the very beginning.
Which is what has happened in KHR, and I really like that. Its just my opinion :)

I was thinking that FT has too many romance stories. Though they r not officially lovers or in love with someone, I still can see for which characters hv the sign. Example : Natsu and that yellow hair girl, Gerald or what is it with that soldier girl Elza?, and Gazel with Natsu's friend, etc.
It's ok to hv a lil romance, but I don't really like the romance is being shown too much. KHR has romance in it, but from the start till the end that hasn't showed much. Sawada Tsunayoshi is too busy to think about his own life (being the tenth) but he still remember the other's life. Not only for the girls, but also his friends.
While in FT... It does hv friendship, but I still feel that the romance has shown much that the friendship. Sorry for my bad english.

the romance is completely secondary in FT the only one who openly shows genuine feelings from the beginning is Juvia and Aquarius. They have people they are closely inked too, and although there may be underlining feelings it's not blatant. Friendship is def. valued over love (especially between Jellal and Ezra)being that the manga is 11 years old and there is no romantic progress for any characters until the arc that is happening now. Another thing you have to remember is that FT is a ecchi manga and Reborn is not. So there will be instances a lot of perverse references, that won't be found in shounen manga w/o that tag

u know i would be kinda dissapointed if ichihime didnt happen...orihime was in love with ichigo since she was in first grade of high school, cared for him,and if u noticed ichigo did too(even sexually lol, when he saw orihime's goods in a nice suit that urahara created and blushed while mumbled). about rukia and renji meh,i wanted them to be the greatest bff but kubo wanted a nice ending for this couple as well. byakuya-->forever alone tho ,my man :(

totally! With so many possible couple like this manga, it's best to just leave the idea open to the fan.
