I think it'd be better like this: "Hillary evades her taxes the same way Trump does." Just delete the 'as.' Hope this helped (●'◡'●)ノ

What's your first language? And it would sound better if you said: "Hillary evades her taxes the same way Trump does." Or "Hillary evades her taxes the same way as Trump."

"Hillary evades her taxes in the same way as Trump evades his (taxes)."

Or "Hillary evades her taxes in the same way that Trump does.". Confused yet? So am I.

what about " Hillary evades her taxes the same way as Trump"

There is no one correct answer. You can word this sentence in many different ways.

"Hillary evades her taxes the same way as Trump evades his."

"Hillary and Trump evade their taxes in the same way."

"Hillary evades her taxes just like the way Trump evades his."

"Hillary evades her taxes the same way Trump does."

And this list goes on and on. I wouldn't really call it a grammar issue. Just wording sounds better one way than another.
