This is definitely a different kind of omegaverse. I know that omegaverse originated from werewolves stories so this is pretty interesting so far.

More like werewolf fanfiction from Supernatural. Wincest to be specific on the pairing then to Destiel and then it spread to Teen Wolf and other fandoms.

All of that happened in just a few years and now less than 5/6 years later it pops up in manga. lol

I was suprised that the Japanese didn't think of Omega-verse first. I guess not all kinks originate in Japan.

Lol. Yeah, it was a bit of a shocker when I started to see it in fanfic and I was like where the hell did this come from?

I thought it was a Teen Wolf thing since they actually use the terms Alpha, Beta, and Omega as classifications for werewolves. But the definitions were different and then there was the knotting thing as well. Thankfully, the knotting is not in every Omegaverse story and the Japanese seem to have skipped it. It's just weird and I blame the Teen Wolf fandom for it.

Eventually, someone pointed out it came from Supernatural since they also had werewolves and it was a method of getting Mpreg without magic. lol

I guess we could say it was influenced by Japanese kinks since it had to do with Mpreg and Japan started that decades ago. :D
