Personally I think that both seemed to just be getting more and more mentally unstable after their parents died and going through everything that they did it's not surprising that they both amassed these twisted feelings towards the other. Yes the younger brother raped the older brother (no doubt a horrible act), but I also think matters aren't black and white and context is important to consider. I also think certain things don't need to be forgiven, but that doesn't mean one can't move toward. And there's my deep rant for today.
