Hey guys I'm sorry it's not related to any manga but can I ask something? I don't know where to ask people about this but... Is that true viktor and yuri didn't do pair skating in the last episode of YOI but instead it was ice dancing? Someone also said it was pair skating because there is no jump on ice dance, but yuuri did viktor's quadruple flip that what makes pair skating and ice dance different. I think maybe they are shifting from single skate to ice dancing but is shifting like that allowed? I'm doing some YOI fanfiction atm and it kind of bother me if I write things wrong. Please help me~

To be honest there is neither competitive ice dancing nor figure skating for same sex couples. The rules of the International Skating Union clearly state so. But they could do it for entertainment, in which case it actually wouldn't matter.

They skate together after the competition finished as a show and entertainment

The someone is right. In ice dancing jumps and throws aren't allowed. (If I remember correctly Victor did throw Yuuri at some point) And it's also true that same sex couples aren't allowed either. Victor and Yuuri could do the pair skate because it was at the gala not a competition. (They could do it in ice shows too, like Stephane Lambiel and Daisuke Takahashi did a pair skate / ice dance (I'm not sure which one) that one time.)
So as long as they don't take Mila or Sara as a partner there won't be any shifting to ice dance or pair skate xD They will continue to do single men skates with Victor both as competitor and Yuuris coach. (And they will train in St. Petersburg)
