Chester is crazy inlove with jesse to the point that he didnt want to know what really happen to his parents accident(probably brown kill them to adopt chester after developing moritat) chester develop moritat to help jesse hide his secret of having genetic disease so it was used only in one person the maid with blonde hair. The issue of using moritat spread so jesse want to forget everything for just a day so he asked chester to use moritat. Chester develop new improved moritat where 2 person could connect in dream with one host that was the blonde maid job to help them get out of dream and control dream. Moritat disadvantage is twisted memory so the dream created by the maid and jesse memory control the situation while chester venturing in the dream. Chester want to know if jesse will love him if everything he has will gone but jesse is brilliant and it gove hard time to trust chester but in the end he know it was just a dream because of season and the maid was the one controling it so chester decide to end it. In the end only chester want is to know if jesse will need him if everything lost to him. In the end jesse knew that chester will go to the vr room living in the dream that jesse made for him(the vr game that chester thought control memories bit it was just a fale video of jesse)
Reading your comment made me think that you may be confused a little bit. It is true that Law created Moritat for Jesse´s sake but Jesse never wanted it in Reality. Law used Moritat on Rosalie, yes That is true but that is only in reality.

From the beginning, Jesse was drugged and forced into Moritat without his consent. However, inside Moritat in a different dimension, Jesse (who didn't know that he was inside Moritat) wanted to hide his genetic disease and so allowed Law to use Moritat on the employees. And later after the kidnapping Jesse used it on himself.
Jesse was suspicious because of the season but he still didnt know that it was all just a dream. What you said about the maids and Jesse´s memory controlling the situation is also wrong. The only one in control was Law.
Jesse didn't know that Law would go to vr room. Didn't you see how chocked he looked in ch 52 when he saw that video? The kidnapping is fake read again the explanation. Jesse parents never die nor the rape scene never happens. After law use moritat in rosalie he hired her as the controller of new moritat. The latest moritat can link 2 person with 1 host rosalie is the host that creating the fake memories while jesse memory made it harder to set the next event so they reset (jesse wakeup thinking all was a dream) they reset moritat if jesse regain a bit of memory. Law develop the new moritat to know if jesse will accept him if everything will lost to him but that not happen so law decided to stop the moritat because he know now that jesse will never love him. Thats why law go through the vr room and playing jesse video because that was all he wish to be loved by jesse and it happens. Re read the part wherein jesse wake up and the nurse is rosalie that is the only true events happen. All before that were created by moritat or his twisted memory.
The kidnapping and Jesse´s parents dying happened inside Moritat so it is true there but it is fake in Reality. So it´s not exactly memories that were created since it actually did happen inside Moritat.
Try to re read again XD everything was created. Jesse found out about it when he asked law to fire rosalie after winter storm stop but that never happen so he think that rosalie is the culprit and not law. That why law want to stop the moritat. Other clue is law using his palm as ashtray he said that to know if he was still inside moritat. So law dont have access in everything inside moritat he just want to see jesse reaction. The third and last clue is rosalie finding a job in the ending. ??? Then she was not a maid anymore but she was working under law. She was the host of moritat and the one controlling it. She wore a nurse outfit right. Moritat is mind conditioning not parallel universe
midnight, I hope you dont mind me interuppting here, but I have to agree with the other commentor that you are a little wrong. Law stopped Moritat because he was tired and also because he got what he wanted-- mainly that Jesse chose him (he told Law he would commit suicide with him).
Law used his palm as ashtray so he wouldnt get confused and mix reality with Moritat. Remember he was in that space for 20 years so sometimes he would confuse his real reality. Law IS the administrator, he says so himself in ch 32 page 3.

Rosalie´s role here is that she is an accomplice to Law, she agreed in ch 51 to put the blame on the Brown company for brainwashing her (maybe she was promised a good sum of money from Law?) and thats how she ended up working for Law, she was simply overlooking them while they were inside Moritat. I really think you should re-read it because there are a lot of details to miss :)
Yes jesse want to suicide with law but he didnt choose law but he know that it was rosalie who control moritat and law said what happen if law suicide he will remain in moritat alone so they both suicide.

After law has been adopted by creating moritat he was go abroad with jesse parents to develop moritat. The trial was only used with rosalie because she wants to forget that she was raped by her previous master.

When they were child jesse is a prince because law parents want to make stable company they want law to be friend with jesse. They became friends that jesse show him his first invention vr game that corresponds into emotion showing different faces of jesse. Because law is fond of jesse it reacts as love so jesse became fond too with law. When they grew up an jesse had an accident. That time law started to create moritat. After he created it he proposed it to jesse parent then her mother accept it. Later laws parents had an accident with brown company but law never think about it but he think more of moritat that he abandon his parents. Jesse knew about it and want law to stop creating moritat but law never want to stop and jesse isolate himself from law. Jesse go to a college while law go with jesse parents abroad to develop moritat. After that they test it with rosalie creating bad issue about browns company. Then moritat was debunked but jesse want to try it for a day. Then event in moritat(everything that is not in real event is created by moritat through rosalie as host.
Read chapter 52 the revised moritat is not erasing memory it is a device that create world in mind. Because rich people dont have much time so they can create a world where time is inconsiderable.

This story truly is a mystery to the very bitter end. We never found out if that fat baldy (ch 9) was actually an honest man. We know now that he was truly warning Jesse of Law because he knew somehow that Law was behind everything. But we never find out if he truly tried to empty the Brown company of all its assets and run away like Law was saying. I have a feeling Law just killed the shareholders in Moritat so they won´t be able to tell Jesse the truth. Secondly, what did Jesse´s mother really say in her last phone message to Jesse before the terrorists killed her in Moritat? Did she really curse at him like Jesse thought? Or was it a fond farewell and perhaps asking his location? I think Law hid it so Jesse would forget his mother and not try to find comfort in her voice, but instead in Law.
Thirdly, just what did Julia request of Jesse´s mother?? Idk if that part is supposed to be a mystery or is the translation maybe off or we´re too stupid to understand? idk but her request directly caused her death so I´m very curious.
And lastly, and this one I know we ALL want to know... the prologue! Just how on earth did they end up on the cliff in that snowy day? What lead to Law pushing him off? Is it yet again another "punishment" for not choosing Law? Or was Law just simply venting all his mental frustration and having fun toying with poor helpless Jesse? Did Jesse perhaps find out that he was not in reality so Law decided to "kill" him to reset everything and start over? Jesse had a knife with him so he already knew that Law turned against him and was therefore being chased. But it seems not even Jesse knows why. Law talks about giving Jesse a prize for figuring out the answer but what is the answer? That he knows he is inside moritat or his determination to get revenge on Law? ugh i give up. Phew, that was long. Well this truly is a mystery, and the fact that the author doesnt reveal everything after all the psychiatric mindfuck we´ve been through is truly frustrating but thats what makes it so great.
