    in thailand people use 555555 to represent laughing because the word 5 in thai sounds like 'Ha'. put a lot of 5's together and you get hahahaha. so ultimately what i'm trying to say is all race and culture have their own way of showing laughter as text. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ might just be the korean way.

    ㅋㅋㅋㅋ, is how we say hahaha. in korean the letter ㅋ sounds like the letter K. so when saying it in english it is kekekeke or kkkkk. usually ppl use it when too lazy to actually type in hangul/korean alphabet!
