    The uke was assaulted first. You can't just attack someone and then complain when they defend themselves. Its kind of like if you were to threaten someone with a knife and then complain when they stab you first. Stop victim blaming.

    you're being ridiculous. This was two big strong men who like each other, going through the process of becomming lovers. Neither of them is defenseless, and both of them want to have a relationship with one another. Refusing the kiss is all that was needed, but Singsing is not making a statement about consent. She is using these situations as comic and romantic entertainment. You're trying to apply it to real life, to justify your own ideas. To draw any kind of parallel with knives and violence and sexual assault is too extreme.
