This has been going on for a while but there's this pet peeve of mine where people say "raws" in the wrong context.

Raw = from original work, untouched by any scanlation team

manga: Japanese raws;
manhwa: Korean raws;
manhua: Chinese raws.

    Why, how do other people use it?

    For example in a manga (which was created in Japan, and in Japanese) someone asks for raws. Then someone comes in saying "I saw some raws, they're in Chinese though"

    What they found aren't raws though, but a Chinese translation.

    So I'm not the only one annoyed by the misuse of the word "raws". It seems like comics in any other language than English are called "raws" nowadays. If it's a manga that's originally in Japanese, then when you find it in Chinese/Spanish/Korean/Vietnamese/etc. it's not "raw" but a Chinese/Spanish/Korean/Vietnamese/etc. translation of that manga.
    Do you call meat that's already cooked "raw" meat? Nah, I don't think so -_-|| Then why would you call something that's already translated into another language "raw"?
