That's what I've been trying to explain to people in here but everyone are like "you know nothing, he loves bum and they are meant to be", like wtf bit*h you crazy or something? You call "THAT" a normal relationship and relationship goals? Yo something is really wrong with some people in this comment section, yall need to seek help if anyone has that kind of a relationship, like fast! I also tried to explain how Bum would get milder punishment or none in the court because he was basically trapped, tortured mentally and physically, forced to do things he didn't want to and besides all that, he also suffers from a stockholm syndrome. I was literally told that I need to reread the story because Bum is in love. Like wtf. If I was held against my will, I would do anything to earn the kidnappers's trust just as long the kidnapper doesn't kill me. But glad somebody in here is still sane in this comment section.
You're absolutely right, the problem here is that people keep thinking this is a BL. I don't understand what they find romantic in this "relation". And of course Bum is not in love with Sangwoo, what he's doing is just trying to survive. I'm sure he would have escaped with Bae the first time they met at the pub, but he's too scared of Sangwoo and also because he has also killed someone. If Bum confessed Sangwoo's crimes it'd exist the posibility that Sangwoo would do the same so of course he will do whatever Sangwoo wants.

Also Bum is a victim of abuse so you havr to consider his perspective is also skewed. Any amount of fake kindness by Sangwoo would be enough to trick him because he has no frame of reference for healthy relationships. This should defiantly not be considered relationship goals this manga is so twisted. Relationship goals should be Victor and Yuri from Yuri on ice that is a good example of a healthy gay relationship. Funny seeing how ppl here who know nothing about psychology and what a psychopath or wht stockholm syndrome is using these terms. I don't know who have EVER said, this is an ideal relationship or its normal. Its not. People are so eager to ignore psychological problems and trauma both suffer and forget abt the background story.

Bum was IN LOVE with Sangwoo, STILL IS. Shockholm is when the hostage develops feeling for the captors AFTER they are captured.
His dad was an asshole who beat him and his mom in front of him, even tried to drown her. This manhwa shows seriousness of mental illness and trauma. Most serial killers in IRL had history of child abuse and domestic violence. They often mimic the past abuse they themselves suffered.
Bum has BDP, which btw, I came to knw abt thanx to manhwa. U guys dont like how the story is not going ur way, drop it. This is not for all anyway. Its not ur regular fluff, infact there is warning violence, rape etc. U ignore those and then still read it, even though it makes u sick to ur stomach. Why read it at all? Hi, person who Posted the stays here I actually went to college for psychology and have Bipolar disorder myself so I DO know about psychology actually. I read the manga for the horror aspect and still enjoy it and do not intend to drip it. I was not bashing the manga, I was trying to say that this is not a romantic story like people are trying to make it seem. Neither of them are in a healthy loving relationship. Sangwoo does not love bum and Bum DOES have Stockholm syndrome even though he liked Sangwoo at the beginning of the series he was shocked and terrified of him when he found out he was a.murder, then slowly started to like him agian over the series. He sympathizes with him and wants his affection. That is Stockholm Syndrome

However u are right about Bum's Stockholm syndrome, I am the one who is wrong, now that I think abt it ( I had some own reasons why I though its not stockholm, thats another story). I think I read another post and ur and theirs are somewht similar, (although ur is an ananlysis of MCs, quite a good one actually, however I have some doubts abt the psychopathy part) but, that one had some bashing comments (regarding fans, author and characters) and I those comments were in YOUR topic. And I was actually quite delirious frm a bad fever so I wasn't seeing things right. Thus, my stupid rant. Sangwoo is a narrcassitic Pshycopath. He is incapable of true love. He is VERY manipulative and cunning. I think the author is trying to show us just how easy it is to be tricked by people like him. He knows how to act to get what he wants from people. Narrcassitic, sociopathic (or in this case full blown psychopathic) people generally appear VERY charming outwardly. They are actually predators who have learned how to blend in and how people work so they can find victims. They spend their whole lives perfecting this. He only cares about Bum in the way that he loves having someone to toy with who is easy to control and will stroke his ego. Bum is the perfect submissive abused victim and also inflates his self esteem because he's rated to him. It is not the same as actually caring for someone. Y'all are gonna get tricked by an actual sociopath someday!! This story isn't meant to be cute!! Dont romanticize murder and abuse!!! Also don't say that Sangwoo is Bipolar. That is ignorant about bipolar disorder and is very insulting to people with bipolar disorder. While he may have what appears to be "mood swings" he is not bipolar. For him the mask he always wears just lifts at times. There are other disorders too that cause "mood swings". There is a big difference between psychopathy and bipolar.
