Oh noooooo, Take Care of My Housekeeper might not be translated anymore. I hate it when this happens, but I kinda understand the author since it's their work, anyway. But still, it's one of my fave manhwas :(

The official is on comica. No English translation though.

Is it free in comica cause ive seen it first in toonbest (and im not making an acc. in comica just to know lol sorry)

but if its for free I SWEAR i cant see any reason why the author would ask to stop translating her work, i mean her work is only in korean therefore all the international fans obv. wont be able to read it. And her work is for free to read (as far as im aware of )also the translator still credits her completely and doesent take any rights away from the author apart from being the translator which is just right. I DONT SEE THE REASON WHYYYY

please just shine a light on me if im missing the point here, thanks~

It isn't all free, and most artists like to maintain control of their work. But a big reason is that official English translation is a possibility for more and more webtoons this day. When the whole thing has already been translated and posted for free, it can hurt English sales or even prevent it from being officially translated, ever. Publishers would often rather go for a safer bet by translating something that isn't already widely pirated.

But the thing is that this webtoon is on Comica, which doesn't have official english translation (as far as I know, I may be mistaken, unlike naver or lezhin for example) and it's also pretty much one of the only one website where people outside of korea can't even buy the locked chapters. So even if you want to support the author you can't. It's the same thing that happened to Fools, which also is from comica *sigh*

I don't understand why they only let korea enjoy their works when they could have way more success (and money) thanks to international support.

Ah I feel so sad, especially since the interesting part starts now and in the following chapters. But I can perfectly understand @peachpuff decision since she can't take the risk to get into serious trouble.
