Curious-

Do you guys ever have dreams that make you question your existence/sanity when you wake up? I had a dream like that last night. To summarize, I was seeing things from the perspective of [um, maybe don't read this if you cherish your innocence] a short lesbian attempting to peg a tall, beautiful blond woman. But honestly, it isn't the weirdest dream I've ever had.

I should also mention that dreaming about sex isn't super uncommon for me... considering the amount of time I spend on this godless site. But it is always a bit disappointing when the context is strange. I'd prefer to dream about normal things for once, though.

Also, does anyone else feel sensations in their sleep? Pain for example. For me, I can feel it when I'm hurt, and I can taste, smell and hear things almost as vividly as I can in real life... Yeah, that has its pros and cons.

Dreams are the portrayal of your innermost subconscious desires you know (・。-; lol but people get weird dreams all the time. And if you're mostly on this site and read a lot of manga with different themes then you might tend to get weird ass dreams majority of the time. The anime I'd recommend you to watch is - Asagao to Kase san when it comes out. (๑◕ㅂ▰) I only feel one sensation when I dream and that is pleasure, my olfactory system might have been active at certain times but that's all. You feel pain, wow that's interesting, so if someone butchered you in your dreams then...(⊙…⊙ )

Dreams are fascinating. I love and hate them, because they're so abstract but they are like personalized/interactive movies in a way. I really should chill out with the weird things I read, but...

To be fair, I started experiencing these vivid dreams at a very young age. It could just be a product of a hyperactive imagination. I'm also prone to sleep paralysis moreso than what is probably natural, so that can't help.

As for the pain, I have experienced being shot in my dreams and it manifested in a dull burning sensation in my chest that more or less disappeared when I woke up, though I could still remember it. But the pain is generally concentrated around my wrists and arms. I have experienced the sensation of "dying" at some point... via some sort of disease that my subconscious never specified. Though, thankfully, I have yet to be butchered.

A dream analysis expert can help you if you want to know more about what your dreams signify. Sleep paralysis does not have an authenticated treatment but it seems that your sleep paralysis is not that severe so it's ok. I had experienced sleep paralysis when I was young and many of my friends said that supernatural elements might be the cause but I don't usually believe in hocus pocus so no. All the best and I hope you have REM dreams, instead of alpha or beta ones ;)

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind, though I'd hate to traumatize the poor analyst that has to listen to my nonsense. And worry not, sleep paralysis has less to do with supernatural elements and more to do with poor sleeping posture. I lay on my back sometimes, and I have back problems- therefore, I sometimes paralyze myself. It happens.

Best of luck to you, and may you be blessed with many [non-insane] pleasure dreams!

Lol, yes poor sleeping posture is one of the causes of sleep paralysis and thanks but I haven't had pleasing dreams or any dream for a long time ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I think it's normal. Once, I dreamt I was giving chaste kisses in my friend and when I woke up I felt very guilty because he has a girlfriend (and he is just my friend). Nothing happened between us and honestly, I don't desire him, we get along very well, but we are just friends, you know.
Well, I rambling here, what I want to say is that dreams are not just what you desire (I mean, people have nightmares, right?), it's just what you see and think in your day and sometimes is nonsense. If you don't feel attraction for real woman, you are not lesbian/bi.

Right, I think that sometimes we are capable of seeing our subconscious desires in our dreams but other times, it is probably just a lot of mind scribble being translated into visuals.

Like someone spinning a wheel in your brain to decide what you're going to think about while you're asleep. *spins once* Okay, we will use character A: [mr. friend] and character B [you] in this setting *spins once more* [school] doing this activity *spins one last time* [kissing]. Great, role clip!

    > In other words, dreams are quite possibly auto-generated.

weirdest dream i got is i was doing it with my very straight female friend. (she's a lowkey fujoshi but IRL is still different and she has a bf)
what made the dream weird is because i never got sexually attracted to her. and i do know if i am attracted to a woman. and we are just BFFs. i woke up WTF-ing

Dreams are your royal road to your sub-consciousness, meaning these are your repressed desires and your brain is manifesting it during your sleeping state when you are not in control.

Morning! I am not surprised, but my dream last night was very strange. I recall swimming, video game physics and most annoyingly- being repeatedly stabbed by a worm creature. That really hurt, too.
