Just curious (about ratings!)

Do you rate the mangas that you add to your list? If so, what is your thought process?

For me, most of my mangas are 3-stars. I've never given anything 1 star before... but I've come close. Probably because if I really don't like them, I don't want to bother with adding them to my list.

So this is how my process goes.

1- N/A (not even worth evaluating)

2- Some potential, but overall dull and cliche.

3- A bit cliche, but cute. Art is decent.

4- Will definitely reread again and again! Either in need of more chapters or more sex, but a great work of art one way or another. This is where I put great doujinshis sometimes.

5- Usually manhwas/shonen mangas fit into this category. Pretty much everything that I'm looking for depending on the genre; sex, action, art, plot.

    1-terrible

2- also terrible/just bad, but I was in an okay mood (my most common rating :')

    3- okay/good

4- as good as it gets/great (only my favorites get this rating)

5- unnatainable (perfect stories don't exist)

Yeah we think the same way. I usually give three, four or five stars. Three are just like, okay it was nice. Four are those I liked and will reread. Five are those I will definitely remember and reread lot's of times.

I have some kind of point list (or stars)
    for ok - 0 / good +1, great+2/ bad-1, worst -2
I 'evaluate' art/drawing, plot or storyline, the story itself, characters, also the genre (you can't compare bi no isu with jappa no amane) thats how I do it :)

Honestly I don’t even rate sometimes I do if I really like the story but I always forget x

I've never given anything below a 3 star because once I start reading something, I'm usually determined to read it to the end. Only times I drop a manga is because I've found something more interesting to read and not because I hated it.

Anyways, my 3-5 star ratings go like this:

3- Meh, not as interesting as I thought it was or the ending could have been done better but not terrible overall. I don't hate it.

4- I like this and enjoyed reading it. Would I read it again? Maybe. Might recommend this to others. (Most of my ratings fall into this)

5- I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! 10/10 WILL REREAD AGAIN AND AGAIN! WILL RECOMMEND THIS!

I mark everything I ever read as 'read' so I don't accidentally read boring ones twice.
Mangas that I think are worth re-reading I tag with what it's about.
I only use the star system with mangas I absolutely love or truly hate, which I give five stars and one star respectively.
I've only used the stars about six times altogether.

    For me it's :

1- I dislked it really badly, even hated it. Wish I could forget about it.

    2- Disappointed

    3- Ok, but wouldn't re-read it

4- Liked it/ Loved it (I think most of the things I read are rated this, since I'm picky and look at the comments/convos/tags before starting) - On my re-read list.

5- Fav ! Loved it ! I can read them again and again.

No stars : When I'm confused about wether or not I liked it and can't decide on a rating, so I put nothing until the time I have the courage to read them again and maybe make a choice.

0 - I don't left it blank because I would confuse myself for forgetting to rate it.

1 - Shitty and not worth my time. I would rate minus or throw it away

2 - Almost shitty, but can improve.

    3 - Average. Easily forgotten.

4 - I liked it but would likely not read it again. I had fun and enjoy reading it.

5 - Favourite. I could read again and recommend without hesitation.

My list: Definitely will read again. Personal favourite and have a soft spot in my kokoro.
