It is long, but easy to understand where you're coming from. I totally agree with you, on how this made me feel and it really did have some major realistic elements.
You just explained what I've been trying to explain to people for who knows how long. Especially when you mentioned rape scenes being a accessory of yaoi. Everyone like freaks out and argues over wether or not that's love or not. And like you said in yaoi it's just to frilly and fluffy to even come close to realistic but this one was actually really close in that aspect. And everyone is saying that the little brother is so at fault, he didn't do anything to stop... Blah blah but what do u expect him to do he's in shock he's watching his brother get raped. And he has to do what the other kid says because it was the only thing keeping from going completely insane it keeps him occupied but in the end he just snapped. But I totally agree with you I know exactly where your coming come!!!!!

WARNING:basically a way too long version of my opinion on why this oneshot was super weird (okay to skip)..
i actually really like deep and twisted psychological elements coupled with horror manga and other gory or 'odd' readable things because i have a label and know what i'm looking for...so usually i am okay with brutality in yaoi, but this probably needs a 'psychological' label..
i mean i can only say so for myself, but i don't take yaoi rape to heart really. it's more of an accessory to a story, and it's not like the television shows broadcasting into nearly every household in the country i live in are quite so sensored as they used to be. so being desensitized to this kind of thing (i also blame nursery rhymes), i don't take brutality in yaoi to heart and wouldn't follow it's example. if anything, it's a part of the story that i accept because it is in a story, but each time i see it it makes me realize how unrealistic the fairy tale endings that come after it are.. so usually i accept brutality as a story prop, but this one was kind of weird. it was weirdly realistic for a yaoi rape scene. i haven't read the second part, but disregarding some obvious flaws, it wasn't as frivolous and easy to ignore as other rape scenes... for example, the brother didn't get turned on after seeing what happened. he got traumatized and was very confused, especially about the fact that his brother was crying while being raped instead of being angry. i've seen yaoi scenes, even hentai scenes, where against their will and better judgement witnesses get turned on seeing their loved one raped. sometimes they are even coerced into joining in on the 'fun'. again, didn't read the rest..but at the end the boy's fragile 'senses' crumbled or something...and then there's the fact that the brother was crying. a fresh high school student, just got a new girlfriend. he suddenly gets into a second fight with his brother and his brother's friend (said they fought recently) and this time he is hit in the head with a bat by his younger bor and he's bleeding. maybe if a person had time to think about the situation they would be mad. but then the high school aged boy gets tied up by the two younger boys, one of them giving orders to the other in order to make sure the tied up high school boy couldn't escape. then he's raped...i would not be angry, i would be frightened and i would cry as a high schooler whether i was male or female. his weak crying and protest is another weirdly realistic element when coupled with the younger brother's obvious dread. an often overlooked POV from the younger brother/bystander (not innocent bystander i guess...) made the whole yaoi rape scene a lot creepier...there's a reason why yaoi rape scenes seem frivolous, only follow the point of view of the discombobulated rape victim, and generally follow a formula...
