LOL <3..while I do find that pairing hot to think about, I don't think that Shunpei is Maya's type. Not to mention they kinda got off on the wrong foot back in High School (at that school festival, LOL)...but STILL...it IS really hot to think about <3
I have to agree that they'd be hot together. But their relationship seems quite impossible. I don't think they are each other's type. Maybe a one night stand but shipping them together seems really impossible. Haha I think Maya may even hate Shunpei's character.
I think they wouldn't work out either. Eventhough Maya is a top while Shunpei is a bottom, they're both dominant personalities. They'd probably kill each other. I can't see Maya taking care of and being sweet to Shunpei like he is with Nemu. I doubt he can love anyone like he does Nemu, it's quite obvious. I think Shunpei would be irritating to Maya and not even in a sweet cute way, probably in a "If you don't shut up, I'll kill you."
And I can't see Shunpei being 'taken care' of by Maya. He's too independent and dominant for that. And if Maya tries to take care of him like he does Nemu, Shunpei would probably be "I don't need you for that." He doesn't need the assurances that Nemu does and being able to assure and help comfort Nemu and his insecurities is what Maya loves about Nemu as well.

Lol though. In the other story, Maya basically said "Fumi has bad taste. And Shunpei has a retarded face." No hope for that couple. Maya is also disgusted of thoughts with other men other than Nemu.
