I just had a thought, if the deal was nobody could lay a finger on galante, or else the peace between the teonkingdoms would end, doesn't that mean galante could literally do anything he wanted? Including liking the doctor? I'm not saying that he SHOULD have, but in reality he COULD have, assuming he wanted to.
