Idk about the second story. I believe that he really did indeed kill his mother.
In the last one the novelist had an unrequited love that was from long ago. I guess he couldn't tell his current lover he loved him until he let that unrequited love go so that's why (I'm assuming) he told the GF that he liked her bf long ago. And then a whole entire weight was lift off his shoulder making him emtionally so = crying. then he told his current lover(which is not the unrequited love but a completely different guy) that he loved him.
I'm a little confused, in the second story did the guy actually kill his mom? And the last one, was it all an unrequited love? i wasn't sure if the novelist got with his friend from high school, or if that black haired guy in his bed was a different person.
