There needed to be more of playboy for me to believe the character actually liked the person who he wasn't sleeping with. You don't just go out and cheat because you are nervous you will become too addicted.
Seriously think he needed to prove to the other guy he would never cheat again. Otherwise there would be no trust (sorry I don't like cheating story lines but I also can't stop reading something when i've picked it up)
