I think that as long as you don't fall in love with anyone outside of the family then you're not going to die. Before Tsubaki came they probably decided to live out their lives single. And eventually raise Tsubaki together.
And I don't think they see each other in that way. It probably never even occurred to them.
So...if they fall in love with their relatives...shouldn't the two brothers get together too?
