i wonder the same thing each time it bugs me!! rein is said to be the 4th prince but the 4th prince is the playboy with long hair :// plot hole. author should be more careful. made him a 7th prince not mentioned or something

There are two separate families of princes. One in Oujisama with 7 sons and one from Ousama with 6 sons.

yes there are two different but hes the 4th prince whos come there to get his little brother. but that brother belongs to the family where the 4th prince is the long haired play boy.

No he's not, yurri is 7th prince from oujisama game it's just that his story is in ousama game. Because the guard with the eyepatch is in that story. so rien is 4th prince of that kingdom. Remember that two navy's are fighting the Pirates so that's why mizuchi from ousama game is in that story.

Rien, Yuuri's big bro, came from the kingdom with 7 sons (the first son which lover was an asassin) and his story is in this manga. He was not featured in the first 2 manga's Oujisama(kingdom with 7 sons) and Ousama(kingdom with 6 sons).

wait.. so why does it say that rien comes to rescue his little brother, yuri, if rien is with the kingdom with 7 princes? I'm confused...

reread the last chapter of ousama game. the patched guy is named byakko while the oujisama kingdom's mercenary is named suzaku. it's a coincidence. by the way, the 6th prince's name of oujisama kingdom is named kagetsu and he has a lover already. the ousama 6th prince yuuri is the one that boarded the pirate ship.

the only problem is that the author somehow changed ryuga's character design. there's a time skip that the author did not bother explaining to have his hair change like that and it confused the hell out of us readers but the mangaka definately said that he is the 4th prince. also, this pirate has the connection to the ousama country, NOT the oujisama country. remember that there is a pirate group that 2nd prince mizoguchi hired to make trouble and it's most likely them since kuuron revealed that he already knew yuuri even before they personally met.

as for the oujisama 7th prince, he appeared at chap. 1 of ousama game along with fuanron, his subject and lover to save renge.

sorry. i mean ousama's 5TH prince. the ousama 6th prince is airi, the former sickly guy. suzaku's charge is the oujisama 6th prince.

Every time someone comments on my post I re read the series just to reconfirm my findings.. Lol this time I wrote down all of the princes names that were mentioned from each country

Oujisama

Ousama princes:
P1: Ouga/ Ohga
P2: mizuchi
P3: Homura
P4: Ryuga
P5: Yuri
P6: Airi
Now princes 3-5 were never mentioned from the Oujisama kingdom. And I highly doubt there is another prince with the same name as Yuri. It specifically mentions in the last chapter of Ousama that the Pirates were at war with Yuris kingdom, which was mentioned earlier in the manga that Mizuchi fought with the Pirates. Which on this page you can see him fighting with Kuuron

So there for once again proves in my opinion that Rein never once existed within the Ousama kingdom. And for some reason made up for the sake of dating the second pirate cook ( since he is a different cook from the Ousama chapter).....

1st manga was all about the Oujisama princes ( for the most part other than the ones with the right and left ministers)
2nd manga tied the Ousama kingdom with the first by introducing us to the 2nd prince from Oujisama. From there we meet all the Ousama family. Also telling us about the Pirates..
Which then ties the third manga in with the second when the 5th prince goes aboard the ship.. So there for connecting the Pirates with the Ousama family .. That has no one by the name of Rein.

Sorry for the really long Babel... But it's still some random mystery that I would like to solve... Even though I know I never will.

Actually, I might be able to clear this up for you. I know this is a dead thread, but I'll post as it might help someone else understand as well. I'll refer to the kingdoms as the kingdom of 7 princes (k7p - crown prince Ryuuen) and the kingdom of 6 princes (k6p - crown prince Ouga).

At the beginning of "Ou-sama Game," the kingdoms trade one prince to the other kingdom as a show of alliance. I believe Yuuri of k6p was traded to k7p, so Rien is the 4th prince from k7p. It's supported by the fact that all k6p princes, with the exception of Yuuri, are seen in their home kingdom during Renge's search for his mysterious night suitor. Also, Yuuri is being watched over by guards of k7p (such as the 4th gun squad leader Suzaku). As to why we see k6p 2nd prince Mizuchi aboard the pirate ship, Kuuron was probably secretly taking Yuuri home to k6p. Mizuchi probably took advantage of the pirate ship's being in k6p waters and launches an attack Kuuron's crew.

As to why Rien refers to Yuuri as his brother/family and vice versa, it's more a show of their deep relationship than any actual blood relation. Rien must have been poisoned after the prince trade occurred and thus became distrustful of many people. Despite not being blood-related, Rien recognized Yuuri's sweet personality and nature, and Rien trusted Yuuri to not poison him and began believe he loved Yuuri.

To tally this up, k7p:
- 1st prince Ryuuen & assassin Seiran who becomes royal consort
- 2nd prince Renge (traded) & king Ouga
- 4th prince Rien & pirate cook Kougyoku
- 6th prince Kagetsu & tactician Jin (though squad leader Suzaku likes Jin)
- 7th prince Shuki (is closest to 2nd prince and thus goes to k7p to bring him back) & tutor-turned-slave Fuanron

And k6p:
- 1st prince (king) Ouga & k7p 2nd prince Renge
- 2nd prince Mizuchi (usurpation plot - fate unknown)
- 3rd prince Homura & 6th prince Airi
- 4th prince Ryuuga (narcissistic playboy)
- 5th prince Yuuri (traded) & pirate captain Kuuron
- 6th Prince Airi & 3rd prince Homura

I'm not certain if this confusion was due to a plot mix-up on the author's part - I'll have to look at the raws. I'm more inclined to believe that these subtle details were lost in translation.
