Huh, that actually would make a lot of sense. I hope it gets resolved in a way where they end up together and happy. I was getting nervous when they were playing around with the idea of Ayase falling for someone else
I thought that too but the story said they met 4 years ago so i stopped with the idea

Maybe what happened 3 years ago, with Kanou's father murdered is somehow related to how Ayase found Kanou beaten on the streets and took him in?
