For me,I think it was for the best that they part.I would have loved if they'd run away or something but the thing is that both of them was able to move on and forgive each other.The part where they made love truly made me cry.
Ok i don't understand how Souma's mind worked. First, when Masataka refused his advance he forced himself on him again and again without letting go, but when Masataka consensually accepted his feeling he hastely chased him away. Man! I just don't get it.
