I think it may be because Takamitsu was embarrassed by what Hozumi was doing. His brother was loitering the outskirts of the village and using his own son as means to get by the barrier to do dirty jobs for money (even if that money was going to be used to heal Uta).
And maybe he felt bad because Magane was reduced to hakushi and Rikiichi died because of what his brother did so he figured it would be best to end his own life.
ya i was wondering if it was cuz of hozumi and rikiichi cuz rikiichi was his wha benefactor 2? life saver 2? the dude that let him live? the dad of the girl that saved him? so he must of felt realyl guilty
why did takamitsu try to kill himself (yukina stopped him) like he had a knife...to his throat
him and hozumi didn't have a great relationship so i'm unsure if he wanted to suicide after his bro died but he could have still had guilty feelings of stabbing hozumi?
the yakuza wasn't after him anymore since he was hidden in the village
