I like this story a lot. It was not lovey-dovey or focused on sex but on the mere feelings. The author did a great job in explaining, exploring their feelings for each other. I could totally feel how much Akihiro was/is in love with Hoshino and the other way around. It was brave of Hoshino to confess to Akihiro although he knew that Mami was special to Akihiro. I wish Mami would be still alive since I also liked her a lot.
When Akihiro told Hoshino that he considered to ask Mami if she wants to marry him I had to gulp... But that was also one of the things why this story pleased me. It is pretty normal to fall in love with someone else after school or so especially if 11 years passed. Nobody could expect of neither Akihiro nor Hoshino to hold on these feelings fo each other. That's why I was asking myself whether those two will finally come together.
Others might find Akihiro's pushing away annoying and cold-hearted but I could understand him. At the same time I could also understand Hoshino. Chapter 9 was heartbreaking. I'm currently reading it again. It was the chapter where their hidden feelings broke out. In the end it was Hoshino who insinuated Akihiro that it was okay to give frree rein to their feelings. I absolutely loved this moment! The extra-chapter was the lovey-dovey feeling that was not there in the main story. I quite liked it especially the proposal of Hoshino xD Here it was even more evident that Hoshino's feelings are actually reciprocated.
The paneling was also amazing! Everything was white with black, big panels and not much background. The pages felt kind of empty like the feelings of those two and how the story was told. It perfectly suits the storytelling.

Oh, and Shouta is such an adorable kid! It hurt to see how Shouta's and Akihiro's relationship was shown at the beginning but then it was even more beautiful how it came to it. I'm sure Shouta loves Akihiro like a son would love a father. It's only now that his father is dating his first love xD
I felt srry for the kid when Hoshino rejected Shouta. (Still, I liked the honesty of Hoshino and the blushing of Akihiro.) Sadly, Shouta is still in love with Sensei. I'm curious on how he will let go of these longtime feelings and come to love love Daiki. The latter doesn't have it easy, I guess :D
