yes: many advantages, no disadvantage!

as a signed up member you can keep an overall view - once you read a manga you mark it as "already read" and mangas that are not completed yet as "now reading"

you will get a notification if a new chapter is updated - of all the mangas you marked as "already read" and "now reading"
(if you got a notification you`ll see a red number at the speaker symbol on the right of your nick name )

you can make a list of the mangas you like - favorites or mangas you think you want to read again sometime (for example you can click on my username above this comment and click on "list" in my profile)

if you find a list of someone else interesting, you can click on "follow this list," then you will find this list on your own profile

you can recommend lists you like to others

you can keep track of your own questions or questions of others on your profile
you can bookmark any particular page you like by clicking the "bookmark it" link at the top of that page, then it will be saved to your profile
