Let put morals aside for a minute. It seems like everyone in this manga and some readers have forgotten this fact Doesn't the uke belong to Kanou, i mean he did buy him which means he could do whatever he like with him. To me Kanou is a good guy, i mean if the uke was sold to others who buys slaves god knows what they would do to him. He is lucky that he is being treated so well

I somewhat agree, but just because he's being treated better does not mean he's treated right

I am not saying that he is being treated right. I am saying he is being treated better and he really does not have any right to complain nor do anyone else unless they are willing to pay the money Kanou spent buying him. And if we are being honest the moment that his only family member sold him, he kind of stopped being human he was now degraded to property (thats the horrible truth of being sold- you stop being viewed as human, you belong to your owner to do with as they please, whatever that may be- i kind of hate how this manga just gloss over that fact and everyone feel so sorry for the uke)

Excuse you, but are you encouraging human trafficking? He is not being treated right - that is the bottom line. It doesn't matter if he isn't being treated as badly as the worst case scenario, the fact remains that he is being treated as an object. An infringement of basic human rights. Slavery is illegal you know, for a good reason.
Kanou is not a "good guy". A "better" person, sure, but he continues to keep Ayase as his slave and continues to exercise his ownership over Ayase. Which is, as mentioned, illegal, and a dick move in terms of relationships because he does not actually care about what Ayase really wants and only cares about keeping Ayase with him.
And Ayase very much has a reason to complain, as does everyone else. Namely, he was sold against his will (you said it yourself, it wasn't him who made the choice it was his family member) and might I add he didn't get a penny from it, and even ended up in debt. The amount Kanou paid is no excuse for anything because Ayase was not paid. Why does his family member have the right to sell him and profit off of him? It's his body, and if he is being forced into things that is a reason to complain. Being sold without your consent doesn't make you any less human.
Also, you act as if it's okay for him yo be treated as less than human because "that's the terrible truth of being sold". Did you know people in real life, right now, are being sold by their family members into slavery and mistreated because of poverty? Are you really trying up say that's not something to feel sorry about? Are you really trying to tell me the victims have no right to complain? Get the fuck out of my face.

Have you forgotten the fact that Marry was discussing this manga, a work of fiction, and not the world issues? If you want to discuss world issues, I'm sure you'd find a better place than in a manga forum.

Ok, before you start making a self-righteous speech, i would ask you to really read what i wrote. My comment didn't say anything about how human trafficking is good or bad, (which is why i said lets put morals aside) if i made any value statement it's about the horrible treatment that people suffer after being trafficked. I simply stated some of the facts in trafficking and commented on how it gravely differ from the treatment Ayase is given. And if you knew anything about trafficking you will know their desire is to strip you of all your human right, they mind fuck you until even you stop seeing yourself as human. you become nothing more than their property. Please do not say that Ayase is being treated like real trafficked people because he is really not. Although Ayase was sold he was not striped of his human rights which is one of the points i was trying to make.

Ok, since you guys want to completely dismissed my statement about putting morals aside then lets bring reality into this manga world since that's the only way i can really put in morality. But first, Does it really read like i am encouraging trafficking, which by the way is one of the few crimes and acts i found absoluting unforgivable, buts lets get back to the manga. Lets see, the uke was sold by his relative and Kuon brought him. And he was absolutely horrible to him at first, kept him chain and decided he would treat Koun as a prostitute, using sex to pay off his debt. And lets say that Kuon didn't keep the uke locked away- he would run away and most likely run to the only family member he has because that's what normal people do when they been through a horrible ordeal, but that family member just happens to be the person who sold him and would probably sell him again or worse to cover his action. And lets not forget that decided on his own to stay with Koun and pay his debt after he found out the truth. So yes i do believe that the uke is being treated well and if he was actually trafficked he would be dehumanized. I don't think the uke is a trafficked person because that would be making light of trafficking.
