I thought it was good.

I wasn't a fan of the drawing style, but overall I thought this was a pretty good manga. Yes. It's not realistic. It is a manga afterall. If you're a Yaoi fan, I definitely recommend this manga.

I beg to differ... I found it very true to RL. As a matter of fact, I lived this story personally. I am a former abuser. My husband (married 20 years now) saved me in the exact same way the uke did here. I was abusive for the same reasons as the seme (not the brother incest but abandonment) and was saved because my husband wouldn't give up on me no matter what I did. We have lived peacefully and happily for 15 years with barely an argument, let alone any abuse. People CAN CHANGE for the ones they love.
Please understand that I DO NOT condone, excuse or approve of violence in any form -- including my own past actions. I am simply saying that sometimes people have reasons for their behavior that even they may not understand. "There, but for the grace of God, go I". In other words... that could be you or me if things were different.

I'm sorry that you went through that and I'm glad that you and your husband are happy.
It's not COMPLETELY unrealistic. I know that stuff like this does happen. I just have rarely heard of a happy ending. I hope all is well for you.

    Thank you for your kindness.
Happy endings (for people) are like unicorns...they are a beautiful thing worthy of being hoped for, but they don't exist. We all have to work hard and diligently to obtain and keep happiness (once we are happy why is that THE END?)-- but we all must die (no one gets out of living, alive) and that end is never happy for those left behind.
Sorry to be so "dark"... the term "happy ending" has always bothered me when it is applied to anything but fairy tales and manga. People and relationships don't get to have "happy endings" because the word END implies sadness for them. Happiness should be what you have UNTIL THE END, not just at it. It is because I believe this, that I work everyday to make myself and my family happy. So far, it's working like a charm. (⌒▽⌒)

That wasn't dark at all. I've never thought of the phrase "happy ending" in that way. That makes a lot of sense. :o You seem like a very wise person.

I don't know about wise...but I am old (compared to most fujoshi) and have had A LOT of experiences. Maybe I'll get to be wise when I'm all "grown up". LOL
