I think I'm ok with the "rape" in this one because Senpai is so violent 95% of the time that when Morinaga jumped him the first time it was more comical than repulsive. Like ah, karma.... Then for all the times after that, Senpai always seems really into it after the first kiss or two, and he keeps Morinaga around, even lives with him... So it doesn't really seem like rape anymore, more like some sort of kinky foreplay game.
Finally someone who really "gets" it. Yes, jchick7 - it is totally karma and the first chapter is a dark comedy of sorts. Senpai spends 5 years physically assaulting poor Morinaga and the lover of his gay brother (see Challengers). He's a homophobic SOB, so of course it's divine retribution when he gets raped by a man and ends up enjoying it. BUT, that is just the first part of the first chapter. After that, the dark comedy turns into a romantic comedy. We see that he really is in love with Morinaga and it is so interesting to observe his journey from self-loathing homophobia to finally accepting of his love of a man.
Exactly. I can't wait till he finally starts admitting his relationship out loud to other people, family, friends. He's not quite there yet, but I hope we get to see it before the author ever ends this series for good... I am crossing my fingers that vol. 9 will be as wonderful as I imagine it will be!
I do relise the first time they do it it can count as rape and honestly I hate rape in yaoi but it didn't feel or give off the atmosphere of rape so I really didn't mind... Also I LOVE THE STORY SO MUCH IT IS Beautifuuuuuulllll... （≧∇≦）
