I did not understand a little bit some sentences in some previous chapters too, so I think it is not the translator's fault at all in the case of this new chapter. However I read too and I see almost is easy to understand, just a small part near the end of chapter 2.2 is quite difficult to understand :)
Really? If you have time to complain just assist the translators. They put in a lot of work for us and you just come here and nag about Two Panels????? Just do it yourselves next time.
If you get such high marks in English and you are as obsessive about it as you say - then how do you explain your sentence "Bro do you even english?!" You are missing a word, shortened brother to bro, and you forgot to capitalize the word English - don't be so critical of others who do hard work for free when you can not hold yourself to that standard. And Japanese is a very ambiguous language that makes translation very difficult. Try learning a foreign language and see how easy it is to do direct translations - it is not easy!

I am following sumacscanlations tumblr and she lives in US, so I don't think her English is bad, and she will translate chapter 3 that will be released in early June and some extra chapters that have not been released on any manga websites. She is doing all her best for us. You know she did all by herself. Everyone can make mistakes, and this is just a little bit in a whole. Hence, anyway, I still support her and I am looking forward to read more chapters from her :)

My friend who is studying Japanese and quite good at Japannese said that the grammar used in manga is different from the usual grammar structure. It is shortened. Thus I agree with you that Japanese is completely not easy to translate.
I agree: learning a foreign language, especially doing translations, is hard. But, when it comes to scanlations, it would be wise to have someone proficient in a language you're translating to read over and edit the scans. I do understand what is being said in the panels, but that isn't everyone (unfortunately). If anyone knows who the scanlator is, tell them I do English edits for scans, and can help out if they like.

This, my lovelies, is what a direct Japanese to English translation looks like. Rejoice, you have an unintential inside look at the stages of editing in a serious scanlation group. I work with Indigo as a Japanese to English and English to English proofreader, and let me tell you, this looks exactly like the word document script after sometimes 2 or 3 proofreading by other people that aren't English speakers as a first language - nearly all translations are done by Japanese natives (the only translators I've worked with that aren't Japanese have been native Italians. Their translations barely need any proofreading. They were so perfect, probably because English and Japanese were both their foreign tongues. I've always observed that if it's not an Asian language speaker translating (e.g. a romance or germania language speaker), they have more a foothold on European languages like English ), and there really isn't much time to get a lot of translation clarifications.
So a lot of times, what you guys are reading now is exactly what proofreaders are deriving meaning out of to make the pretty, polished scripts you're used to seeing typeset. Interesting huh? If you guys wanna work with scanlation someday, try rereading the chapter as though it's your job to interpret a smooth, flowing storyline out of it - fun but challenging eh?
Yeah, I am coming across this issue a lot. There are a lot of "..." because parts of the sentence simply isn't there. I don't know if I should add notes at the end of the chapter, add words to make it clearer, or try to keep it close to the Japanese.
There is also stuff I don't know how to translate as English lacks the word for it. One example is Senpai's casual speech and Morinaga's less casual style. Also, how am I to translate the pronouns that are rude? I can't think of any way to write "you" rudely.

Also, I don't know what people want. For example, I used queer as it has the double meaning of being gay and being different. The Japanese has it say differenet, but I felt that didn't have the same inpact. Also, in English, we are more blunt with expressing difficult concepts while in Japanese there is more reservations. Should I have used different? Was using queer ok?
I want you guys to have a reading closest to the Japanese meaning, but maybe there is a fallacy in this. Is it better to make the language more western in style, with stronger English connotations?
Lol, yes. People who complain about the translations are just nitpicking. Hell, be happy somebody took time out of their LIFE to do this. Besides, we all understand the chapter in context.
I agree (to a degree) that we should be grateful for any translation. However the grammar is particularly bad and doesn't follow the flow of the previous translations which is off putting. If the person is based in the US then I would have expected him or her to have at least corrected the basic errors. It seems as if they are relying on a direct translation and they are afraid to change things to make it sound better except that is exactly what you are suppose to do. Japanese does not translate smoothly into English and it requires a proofreader to go through and edit each sentence to make it sound natural while still being accurate in meaning.

I think you shoul add words to make it clearer, smoother and easier to understand. You should translate it based on your own understanding in the context not the Jappanese word by word. About "you" rudely, I think you can write "you idiot" (=・ω・=)
The chapter 3 seems to be postponed and will not be published in GUSH 7 released on 5 June
that sounds awful :(. but do you know the other day? I saw on a manga site that shows chapter 3 will be released on 7 June. I don't know whether it is true.
